Happy Birthday Dodie! And Bob! Can you believe we are really 80? I can't, except certain clues keep reminding one, but let's not go into that. Dodie, you were the first person to be friendly to me when I arrived as the new kid at Shasta Union Hi in 1947, and we have remained friends and sort of relatives for 60 plus years --- one of those clues about our status age-wise. Good thing those family reunions get us together every few years.

Remember how we plotted to get Marilyn & Don together when they would both be home from college in the summer? Marilyn from UCLA and Don from Cal. And all the fun on and in Shasta Lake in the summer. Another hi-lite was Bob driving us up a hill where we could watch but not hear the drive-in movie with Bob's running commentary as to what was going on.

Now, looking forward to 2012 in Maryland!
